Insulation against damp starts before the foundation. The black colored material on the ground is water proof membrane.

The land has a nice slope with sea views.

Membrane is used under every wall, as a second layer of protection against damp.

These special bricks are better then standard bricks for insulation against heat and noise. They are also stronger and can carry much more weight.
