The house

This semi-detached villa is situated in a secure, residential location about 12k south of the city of Kusadasi, and about an hour’s drive from Izmir airport (one-and-a-half from Bodrum). It nestles on the gently rising slopes between the beautiful Aegean Sea at Long Beach and a lovely mountain backdrop, together with around 150 other similar properties. Off-street car parking is available at the house, while the villa has a large three-sided, gated veranda and orchard garden with peach, fig and orange trees. On the ground floor is a kitchen, with oven, hob, fridge-freezer, microwave and dishwasher. A breakfast bar separates it from a cosy lounge which includes a large settee which converts into a double bed. There is a toilet and shower on the ground floor. Up a spiral stairway are three bedrooms - one double with its own balcony and sea views, and two singles. There is also a bathroom with toilet and shower on this floor. Up a further stairway is a large sun terrace, with spectacular views over the coast and mountains. This is half covered to provide shade from the sun. Also up here is a built-in barbecue with an ‘outside’ Turkish-style kitchen area including sink and washing machine.

The locality and facilities

There is a large, shared swimming pool with separate children’s pool at the end of the street. Long Beach is just 20 minutes’ walk away. There are small shops, restaurants and a hotel within walking distance of the house, as well as bars and restaurants aplenty on Long Beach. For travel further, take a bus which can be hailed two or three-minutes from the house. There is a modern supermarket, excellent covered Turkish market, more restaurants and wildlife sanctuary within a small bus or car distance. Bustling Kusadasi is 12k away (again, easy by bus or taxi), where there are a multitude of shops, a large bazaar, busy harbour, restaurants and nightlife. The famous Ladies Beach (for both men and women!) is also close to Kusadasi. For those who like sightseeing, the magnificent ancient city of Ephesus (and others) are nearby, Kusadasi boasts two excellent water parks, while other days out could include the mud baths at Dalyan, shopping at the wonderful Soke market, or maybe even a lazy cruise around the sparkling coast, stopping off to take a dip in the clear Aegean waters.
